To Brenda and John: I am a coworker of John’s mom Sue for 13 years at the Buffalo Port Office. She and I became good friends almost from the moment I step foot in the door of CBP back in 1998. She and I worked the cashier’s section for a long time and we started to call each other Thelma and Louise. I would like to say to John that your mother is one of the most caring and wonderful persons I’ve met in a long time. And I will say that she couldn’t be more proud of you being her son. She loves you dearly with all her heart and has the upmost respect for you. We have sat and had moments of reflections about our children and she has nothing but very fond memories about her son John. I have 3 children myself and my son Simmond is a CBP Officer which he has a very good rapport with Rich Silverstein actually Simmond calls him “Uncle Richie”. I’m sorry we never got to personally meet you but I feel like I’ve been knowing you forever from the conversations your mom and I have had. And to Brenda, Sue your mother-in-law loves you dearly. She has said to me so many times that John couldn’t have picked a better soul mate. Even though I just relocated to Charlotte, NC with CBP to be close with my son and family; I keep in touch with Sue on a regular basis.
